Marla King Privette's Obituary
Marla King Privette passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was born in Franklinton, LA. on September 12, 1956.
She is survived by her husband, William Richard “Richie” Privette III; her children, Shonti Vial (Colin Vial, spouse) and Shaina Ellis (Jordan Ellis, spouse); grandchildren, Halston Vial, Casten Ellis, and Crossen Ellis. She is also survived by her siblings, Lydia “Legi” Lynch, Benny King, Jimmy King, and Trampst King.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mamie Olivier King and Ottis King.
Marla was a loving and devoted wife to Richie for over 50 years. She raised her two beautiful girls, Shonti and Shaina, to love God, family, and life. Marla loved their spouses, Colin and Jordan, as sons. She cherished, adored, and loved her grandchildren, Halston, Casten, and Crossen. They were her heart and her joy. Undeniably, Marla was the epitome of love and family.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA 70433 on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Barker McManus Cemetery.
