The Terral family has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. I met Scott while working at OPCSO. Visiting with him was always one of the highlights of my day. It was an honor and a privilege to know him. "Well done good and faithful servant...Come and share in your Master's happiness."

I came to know Scott through our mentoring at Lyon Elementary School. He so loved being there and knowing that he was truly making a difference in the lives of these children. And I have to tell you that he made a difference in my life as well. What joy he brought with him every single time that I saw him. He would say, "Have you seen the most beautiful girl in all the land?" Well, he got me the first time and made me smile each and every time we saw each other. We talked about the kids we were mentoring, we talked about his reign as King and we talked about our Tulane Green Wave. If we could all have just an ounce of the joyful spirit that Scott carried with him every day, the world would truly be a better place. I am blessed to have known this remarkable man, and may you all know, just how many hearts he touched with his love! I will miss him greatly, but will think of him often, most especially when I pass through the doors at Lyon Elementary and wish I could give him one more hug! My prayer is for this special soul to spread peace to his family from a place reserved for the most special of God's children. And this one's for you Scott...Go Wave!

I don't know where to begin and there is really not enough room for me to write everything I want to say on here but you know I enjoyed training with Scott over the years and truly saw great progress in him. We were friends as well, always had some good "chats" and I will miss him singing & dancing for us in the weight room. He always made us smile with that no matter what kind of day any of us were having. He will be missed and I know he is with Jesus now dancing away! All of you are in my family's thoughts and prayers. Al and I feel so blessed just knowing Scott. He was a wonderful, loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many. Scott’s humor was contagious. He always “waved his wand” whenever we saw him ever since he reigned as King of Carrolton. Our last memory of him was when he was waiting in his car for you, Mitty, to come out of church, and he did the “wave” at us. This fun-loving, spirit-filled sweet man will be missed by many. The King of Carrollton is now in the arms of The King of Kings. Thank you, sweet Jesus, for bringing Scott into our lives.

Moving to New Orleans from Selma, Alabama in the late 60's, and then attending St John's Lutheran School in the middle of Third Grade was very traumatic for me, at that time. As I sat in the classroom that first day, intimidated as all heck, trying to figure out what Script Writing was, up walked Scott. He knelt down in front of my desk, introduced himself, and welcomed me to St. John's Third Grade.
Thank you Scott for being my first school friend in New Orleans. You gave me the confidence to over come that terrifying experience. Everyone loves you!!
