Marjorie King Jenkins' Obituary
Marjorie King Jenkins passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011. She was born January 11, 1918 in Bayou Black, LA to the late Oscar and Mary Jackson King.
The beloved wife of the late Birtrue E. Jenkins, she is survived by two children: Mary Lou Jenkins Albin and Birtrue “Buck” Jenkins; eight grandchildren: Vicky Albin Sharp, Clint, Andrew and Lance Albin, Randall, Lily and Beth Jenkins, Eric Revere and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Frank E. Jenkins and Jo Evelyn Revere; four brothers: Andrew, Albert, James and Ricky King; her sister, Cleo King McIntyre and one grandson, Byron “Spuggy” Albin.
A lifetime resident of the Lee Road Community and dedicated member of Shepherd’s Care Ministries, Mrs. Jenkins was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who worked at St. Tammany Parish Hospital when only 20 rooms were available to patients.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Tuesday at 9:00 AM.
Interment in the Birtrue Jenkins family Cemetery will immediately follow services.
