Marie Suzanne St. Pe` McLellan's Obituary
Marie ‘Suzanne’ St. Pè Mc.Lellan passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 19th, 2020.
She could be your fiercest ally, strongest defender, and stop you in your tracks with a certain ‘mom’ look. (An important skill for a single mom raising four girls!) She was the witty kind of funny, strikingly beautiful, strong, and passionate. On your worse days, she cried with you and held your hand. There was a power in her hands, which immediately made you know whatever storm in front of you would pass.
In her spare time, she loved gardening, painting, decorating, and fashion. She loved to sing the loudest at church, and her singing became a little louder if you were her child and embarrassed by it! She could take random ingredients and make a delicious meal, even though you insisted there was nothing to eat.
Suzanne’s career as a real estate broker and appraiser spanned over 45 years. As a Realtor, she specialized in relocation, condominium conversions, residential and commercial real estate. She was the first in her family to become a licensed real estate agent. In later years, her mother and daughters followed.
Susan was preceeded in death by her loving husband, Richard Rockwell Mc Lellan (New Orleans), parents, Lucie Marie Rose Philippi St. Pé (New Orleans) and Oliver William St. Pé, Sr. (Lafouche Parish) and siblings, Oliver William St. Pé, Jr (Flora), and Philippi Pierre St.Pé (Peggy).
She will be greatly missed by her children: Ronda Lorraine Keegan, Renée Keegan Trahan (Danny), Christine Keegan Westenberger (Eric) and Alissa Lacey Keegan (Lucy); her precious grandchildren Christina Gonzales, Erica Westenberger, Katherine Gonzales (Cooper), Fritz Westenberger, Alissa Keegan, Emily Westenberger, Sarah McCleskey and Ian Westenberger; her adoring great-granddaughter, Avery Remie Gonzales; her sisters Renée St. Pé Allen (Ron), Andrée St. Pé Laubscher (Larry) as well as fun and loving nieces, nephews and cousins!
Suzanne battled Parkinson’s until the very end. She was loved by countless caregivers and staff at Restoration Senior Living, where she sat at the rebel table (just like high school). Jusqu'à ce que nous nous revoyions Mama! you are loved!
