Marie Louise McDonald's Obituary
Marie Louise Jacob McDonald died on August 4, 2008 at her home in the Christwood Retirement Community, Covington, Louisiana.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. McDonald, Sr., Mother of Thomas Jr. of Paris, France, Robert of Petaluma, CA. and Michael of Santa Cruz, CA. Daughter of the late Francis Jacob, Sr. and the late Louisa Sentilles Jacob. Sister of the late Francis Jacob, Jr. and the late Emile Jacob. Sister-in-law of Capt. Ralph A. McDonald. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A native and resident of New Orleans and Metairie for 34 years, she also lived in Asheville, NC, the metropolitan area of New York City and Dallas, TX before returning to Louisiana, where she lived in Covington for the past 26 years.
She graduated from Holy Name of Jesus High School in New Orleans and Maybin Business School, and attended Loyola University of New Orleans. She was a secretary and Head Bookkeeper at Radio Station WWL in its heyday 1938-1946. She was a volunteer and active member of civic, charitable, religious and social organizations in the New Orleans, New York and Dallas metropolitan areas.
Relations and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial mass at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville on Friday August 8 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation one hour before mass time.
Private Internment will follow at St Louis Cemetery No. 3 in New Orleans.
