Marie Pfefferle McCann's Obituary
Marie Pfefferle McCann, at the age of 83, entered eternal rest peacefully on Monday evening, October 30, 2023, at Lacombe Living Center. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 18, 1940, to the late William Charles Pfefferle and Catherine Annabell Boes Pfefferle.
She is survived by her adoring children Gerald McCann (Lucy), Marie McCann, and George McCann. Marie was the proud grandmother of Brianna McCann Bankston (Blance). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Alois Pfefferle, Sybil McCann, Cora Bouton (Earl), Mary O’Malley, bother-in-law Lee McCann (Barbara), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Floyed Patrick McCann, and her brother William Charles Pfefferle, Jr.
A native of New Orleans, and longtime resident of Chalmette, Louisiana. Marie was devoted to her Catholic Faith throughout her life.
Marie was unique and irreplaceable and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who loved her.
The McCann family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding and devoted care provided by the entire staff for the past 8 years and 7 months at LaCombe Nursing Center. Marie’s family also would like to acknowledge and express appreciation to Traditions Hospice for the exceptional and professional care they provided for Marie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Funeral Mass at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, Louisiana 70433, on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow mass in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana 70433.
