Marian Toney Thomas' Obituary
Marian Toney Thomas of Folsom, LA went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 71, surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Tracy Thomas Brown (David) and Shane Thomas (Chasity). Daughter of the late Pansy Brock Toney and Marvin “Pete” Toney. Sister of the late Rosemary Toney and Brad Toney. Grandmother of Wayne Michael Murphy, Kody Michael Brown, Kassidy Michelle Brown, Jailyn Leighana Grauel and Ryleigh Shayne Thomas. Also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family.
She retired from St. Tammany Parish Hospital where she was the Administrative Assistant to many Nursing Administrators for over 30 years. She was a lifelong member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Fussell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Thomas to be made to the Lunch Ministry for Seniors at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Road, Covington, LA, 70435.
