Marian Savoie Hermetz's Obituary
Marian Savoie Hermetz passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the age of 83. Born on Friday, December 02, 1932 in Lockport, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emily Guidroz Savoie and Noah Savoie, her brother Noah Savoie, Jr., and her sister Emily Savoie Howard. Marian is survived by her husband of 61 years, Hugo Robert Hermetz, sister Bertha Mae Ryan and 16 loving and caring nieces and nephews who always remember Aunt Marian for her mischievous sense of humor entertaining them as children and creating enduring childhood memories for them all. She will also be remembered for her love for all animals, both her pets and strays alike.
She lived in Ohio for 39 years and retired from an anesthesia group serving the Dayton area hospitals. She and her husband moved to Mandeville, LA in 1993 and resided there at the time of her death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville, LA 70448 with Rev. Carol Richardson presiding. Visitation from 2:00 PM to service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Timothy United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA 70121-4106 (www.cancer.org/Involved).
