Maria Lovisa Schneider's Obituary
Maria Lovisa Schneider passed away on February 2, 2016 surrounded by family at her home in Covington, LA. She was born on August 17, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to the late Valitino Lovisa, Sr. and Jeanne Tabone.
Maria was married to her beloved husband, Joseph Louis Schneider, for 47 years. She was the loving mother of Teresa S. Corkern (Kevin) and George J. Schneider (Christy Rodriguez). Maria was the proud grandmother of Blake J. Schneider and Emily Anne Schneider. She was the sister of Victoria Lovisa and the late Valitino Lovisa, Jr. Maria was preceded in death by her caring grandmother, Jeanne Tabone.
Maria was a seamstress in New Orleans and on the Northshore for many years. She worked at St. Stephen’s Catholic School and St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church. Maria was an artist working in clothing design, painting, and ceramics. Her home cooking will be missed by family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St, Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
