Margie O'Keefe Willie's Obituary
Margie O’Keefe Willie passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. She was born in Blond, LA on September 8, 1924 to the late Joseph J. and Meazie Fussell O’Keefe.
The beloved wife of the late Sidney G. Willie, she is survived by one daughter, Sally Willie Morgan (Walt); her friend Louis Jones; her brother, Vincent (Ben) O’Keefe; two sisters, Lois O. Watson and Joyce O. (Bobby) Miller; … grandchildren and … great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph T. Miller.
Margie spent most of her life and reared her family in Baton Rouge. She worked as a Dietician for the East Baton Rouge School System until her retirement and upon moving back to Folsom in 1975, she began working at Forest Manor Nursing Home in the same capacity. She was also a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church in Folsom.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 17, 2012 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Friday at 9:00 AM.
Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge will immediately follow services.
