Margaret Laborde Sanchez's Obituary
Margaret LaBorde Sanchez, moved to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the age of 77.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Dawn Sanchez Buras, son-in-law Marshall Buras Sr., and daughter Wendy Marie Sanchez; her grandchildren, whom she adored, Marshall Buras, Jr., Danielle Buras, Brandon Buras, Jonathan Mayer, Christian Minturn, Joy Mayer, Jennifer Mayer, and Justin Mayer; her sister Anna M. LaBorde Chatelain, and her fur-baby, Miss Daisy Mae. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Lonnie Lloyd Sanchez, Sr., her cherished son Lonnie Lloyd Sanchez, Jr., her parents Mark and Sybil LaBorde, and brothers, Michael (Mike), Nelson and Rodney LaBorde.
A native of New Orleans, Margaret grew up in Metairie and later settled in the quiet, peaceful surroundings of Folsom, Louisiana with her husband where they spent their days enjoying their “little slice of heaven”. Her most important love was the one she had for Jesus Christ. She touched lives everywhere she went, sharing her love for the Lord and the joy and happiness He brought into her life. Her smile was one that lit up her face and sparkled in her eyes. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her..
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm followed by a service at 12:00 pm.
