Margaret Elizabeth Rowzie's Obituary
Margaret Elizabeth Rowzie, age 97, a native of Slidell, La. and a resident of Sulphur, La., died Friday, October 9, 2009, at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, La. She was a member of Holy Trinity Epicopal Church of Sulphur, La. Margaret loved knitting, sewing and quilting. She took much pride in her appearance and was the rock for her family, Living her life by example. She loved her nieces and nephews and entire family very much.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred V. Smith Sr. and the late Lavinia Peroncel Smith. She is survived by her one son, Harris N. Rowzie Jr. and his wife Jan Barber Rowzie of Sulphur, La; two grandchildren, Harris N. Rowzie III and Michelle Renee Renew; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Renew; two step-grandchildren, Nick Barber and Jennifer Barber
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harris N. Rowzie Sr., 3 Brothers, Joh Smith, A.V. Smith Jr. and Charles P. Smith., One Sister, Emilda Smith Rowzie.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington, La. Funeral service will be at Christ Episcopal Church in Covington, La. at 1:30 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2009 with Father Winston Rice officiating. Interment will be at Covington City Cemetery in Covington, La.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Sulphur, La.
