Margaret Alice Meeker's Obituary
Margaret Alice Meeker passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 in Mandeville, LA. She was 78. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nute Carl Meeker, Sr. and May Fleming Theisen Stanga, her brother, Haram Jimmy Meeker, Sr and a nephew, Benjamin C. Meeker, Sr. She is survived by her siblings: Glenda May Cudmore (Dan) and Nute C. Meeker, Jr. (Richard Lavigne), John T. Meeker, Sr. (Linda), her sister-in-law, Margaret Gallington-Meeker and several nephews and nieces.
Margaret was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and was a longtime resident of Mandeville and Covington, LA. She was a graduate of Mandeville High School and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s in history.
Visitation for family and friends starts at 1:00pm followed by the funeral service on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your organization of choice.
