Dear Lucy and family, So sorry to read online of the passing of Miss Margaret. I always loved her. She was like another Mother to me while I was at LSU. She embodied the spirit of a real southern lady and she will be missed. Rest assured she will live on in the memory of hose whose lives she touched. Love to all, Judy

Meg, I was so sorry to hear about Ms. Margaret. When I think of her, I think about our slumber parties when we were teens, and her everlasting smile. But what I remember the most is our school carpool (I think we were seniors?). Every morning like clockwork, she picked me up and unselfishly drove us to school. My sympathy to you and all.

We were sadden to learn of the death of Mrs McLachian - My neighbor 60 years ago - She will be rtemembered as a beautful and kind lady. She and her family were part of the best, that made old Covington (23rd Avenue) very special.
Our deepest sympathies for the loss of your wonderful mother. We will always remember the way Miss Margaret opened her home to everyone for the Mardi Gras parades and always made everyone feel welcomed. She was a sweet lady and will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.
