Margaret Miller “Libby” Breazeale, age 92, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1933, in Pine, Louisiana.
She is survived by her children, Raymond M. “Mickey” Breazeale (Pat) Lesli B. Longbottom (Roger) , and Thomas M. “Tommy” Breazeale (Denise);grandchildren: Stephen Fisher (Corrinn), Jason Fisher, Tabitha Breazeale, Tara Sumrall (Jeremy) Kayla Whitely(Scott) Brianna Crandle (Sherman), Thomas (Emily), Casey Buell, Michael Breazeale, Justin Breazeale Great Grandchildren: Gabriel, Justin, Dakota, Shayleigh, Kendall, Ethan, Daysha, Braxton, Barrett, Alex, Isaac, Odin, Brantley, Nova, Kensley, Jaxson, Thomas, BaBay, Leilani and Amiyah and great great granddaughter, Emerson along with many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Norman Alexander Breazeale, Jr.; her parents, Margaret Elizabeth Miller and Thomas Corkern Miller; and siblings, https://T.C.Miller, Eva Miller, Elsie Carson, Zula Caston, Zernia Beaujeaux, Wesley Miller, Eloite (Red) Miller,and Monroe Miller.
Libby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, radiating life, love, and laughter throughout her years. Her Faith in God and his Providence carried our family and held us together through the times of exuberant Joy and the pain of bitter loss.
For nearly 40 years, she balanced her working career with her roles at home, she poured love care discipline and guidance into her family…
Libby delighted in bringing people together, she and Norman hosting many Barbecues, crawfish boils fish fry’s, gatherings where family and friends—everyone was always welcome—she loved to share joy and connections. An enthusiastic travel league bowler and exceptional cook, she was renowned for her chicken and dumplings gumbo, oyster and cornbread dressing, and an array of beloved desserts, including her annual fruitcake cookies and apple cake.
In her later years, she treasured monthly lunches with her high school friends, maintaining lifelong bonds with laughter and stories. A faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she actively participated in the Women’s Guild and deeply loved her church family.
Libby’s warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched countless lives. She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, her courage, strength and endurance will live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Breazeale may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Abita Springs,LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mandeville Cemetery, 1609 Montgomery Street, Mandeville, Louisiana.
