Margaret “Betty” Thompson Thigpen passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 surrounded by family at home in Covington, LA. She was born on March 9, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to the late Hardy Thompson and Emma Elmira Taylor Thompson.
Betty was the loving mother of Kathy Morse Sharp, Donna Morse Little, the late Linda Morse Oalmann and Delores Williams. Betty was the proud grandmother of Patrick Sharp (Kate), Jared Sharp (Tara), April Gardner (David), Roy Oalmann, III (Stephanie), Carrie Oalmann, and the late Chad Little. She was very proud of her 6 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. Betty was the sister of the late Ulyssus Thompson, Lillie Thompson Bernard, and Marvin Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
