Marcelette Revere Sharp's Obituary
Marcelette Revere Sharp, age 88, of Folsom, LA passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the residence of her son-in-laws, in the loving arms of her two daughters Linda and Elois.
She was born on October 4, 1932 in Bush, LA the only child to Edward C. Revere and Janella Mae (Sharp) Revere.
Mom was raised on the family dairy and vegetable farm in Folsom, LA, where she learned the strength and courage to push forward. After marrying Rufus Sharp and starting a family of six children. They begin raising beef cattle and continued the vegetable farming. Once divorced, and as children started leaving, her passion for vegetable gardening turned into flower gardening.
Mom has given us our strength and courage, and has pushed us forward in life; and will be missed, but in our hearts forever.
Marcelette is survived by her children Michael Leonard Sharp (Suzie), Elois Sharp Sance Null (Clinton), Jason Eric Sharp (Chris), Randy Sharp, and Linda Sharp Jarrell (Christopher King); her grandchildren Sandra, Casey, Rachel, Rainee, Jason, Jr., Jessica, Jonathan, Nicholas, Anna, Quentin, and Rita; and her great-grandchildren Levi, Evelyn, Baby Sharp expected in June, Thomas, Rhiannon, Ezra, Brennon, Haylee, Olivia, Carter, Harper, and Braelynn.
Marcelette is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Janella Revere; son David Wayne Sharp; her daughter-in-law Pamela Ellen Sharp (late wife to Michael Leonard Sharp and the mother of Sandra and Casey); her great-granddaughter Kaylee; her uncle Calvin Reuben Sharp, who was like a brother, and always referred to him as her “buddy”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow the services in Sharp’s Chapel Church of God Cemetery, Bush, LA.
