Marc Randall Terry's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the heavenly promotion of Marc Randall Terry, where he's now telling jokes, cooking meals, and playing music for the angels. On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, he traded his chef's apron for a heavenly one, leaving behind a legacy of good food, love, the undying spirit of a New Orleans Saints fan, and an arsenal of hilarious quips.
Born on October 17, 1959, the 65-year-old Covington native and St. Paul’s Alumni, Marc was not only a culinary artist out of the Culinary Institute of America, but also a family man, and with his sharp wit, turned ordinary moments into hilarious memories. He was known for delighting palates with every dish he created, his unwavering love for his family, and his ability to make even mundane moments comical.
Marc faced his battle with cancer, embodying the spirit of Proverbs 17:22, "A cheerful heart is good medicine…” as this journey brought him closer to God.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Carla Terry; daughter, Paige Stuart (Adam); grandchildren, Cayden Stuart and Chloe Stuart; mother, Sylvia Blackwell; siblings, Greg Terry and Fredrick Terry IV; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Davis Terry, III.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Alex P. Blackwell Cemetery on Mockingbird Hill Road in Folsom, Louisiana.
In the meantime, let's remember him not with tears, but with laughter, the aroma of his cooking, the melodies of his favorite music, the cheers for the Saints, and the echoes of his humor, as he would have wanted us to know that he's now sitting at the Heavenly table. Psalm 34:8, “Taste, and see that the lord is good.”
Rest in peace, or rather, rest in recipes, Marc Randall Terry.
