Malcolm Edward Fairburn's Obituary
Malcolm Edward Fairburn died on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. He was 78 years old and worked for many years with Bisso Towboat Company. He was born January 11, 1938 in Mandeville, LA to Morris Edward Fairburn and Louise Hughes Fairburn. Throughout his lifetime he lived in New Orleans, Metairie, Covington, and Robert, LA. He is survived by his son-Michael Fairburn and daughter – Jodie McGowen and sister –Katherine Lecompte. He had (4) grandchildren, Kaylan Fairburn, Klaire Fairburn, David Barber and Diana Barber. He is also survived by his nieces: Julie Lecompte McNeil and Karen Lecompte Merrifield and cousins: Cherylyn Corb Cernobyl, Sandy Corb Dunshee and Debra Corb Traub. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visitation is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow services.
