Mae Kahl Rauber's Obituary
Mae Kahl Rauber passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 in Covington, LA. She was born on January 13, 1918 in New Orleans, LA to George G. and Adeline Kennedy Kahl and resided there until 1984. Mrs. Rauber retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. as the manager of the Men’s Department in New Orleans East after 22 years. She moved to Covington in 1984 and volunteered for 23 years with the Guild at St. Tammany Parish Hospital contributing over 3000 hours of service.
The beloved wife of the late Henry R. Rauber for 72 years, she is survived by three sons - Darryl Rauber, Ronald Rauber and Gary Rauber; one sister - Lorraine Ogle; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson - Robert Rauber and two sisters - Ethel Grimsal and Constance Van.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 12:00 Noon.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow mass.
