Madelyn Lastras Egan's Obituary
Madelyn Lastras Egan 'muffined' on Monday, April 7, 2008 after a long, hard, courageous battle with Leukemia.
A kindergartner at Pontchartrain Elementary School, Madelyn was a life resident of Covington.
She was born May 30, 2001 to John J. and Gaylynn Englade Egan and is survived by her sister, Bridgette C. Egan; two brothers, Dylan M. and Ryan M. Egan and her grandparents, Amery J. and Joyce Bruce Englade. She was also the granddaughter of the late Joseph J. and Veronica Mangan Egan.
Join the family at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433 to celebrate a Funeral Mass on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM.
Wake services will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 6:00-10:00 PM with visitation Friday at the Church beginning at 9:30 AM.
The family would like to especially thank Jennifer Smith for organizing and directing ‘Project Maddie’, which is a tremendous source of inspiration and support; also, their gratitude extends to the nurses, doctors and staff at Children’s Hospital and (TSD) Total Sleep Diagnostics.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in an effort to continue the same support in the future for other local families to: the Madelyn Egan Special Fund Account (Project Maddie) at any Regions Bank location .
