I'm so sad to hear of Ms. Madeline's passing. She was such a wonderful person! She was our own personal angel as she faithfully came to spend time with my mother, Bella Wilson, every single week so that my father, Col. Earl Wilson, could take a few hours respite when my mother was ill. Ms. Madeline was one of the highlights of the week for my mom. >>> During earlier years, Ms. Madeline made our family - and many other folks in Goodbee - delightfully happy and full when she'd cook up her delicious roast beef for po-boys at the Quik Stop. What a cook she was!!! She will be fondly remembered as a dear neighbor, a friendly person, and a woman of the highest integrity. Our prayers are with all the family.

I am so sorry to hear about Madeline’s passing and offer my heart felt condolences to you all. I have many fond memories of her. When I first met Madeline she was a single mom raising eight children on her own. What an amazing accomplishment! She welcomed a group of homesick Navy guys (me being one of them) into her home with many wonderful home cooked meals and lively conversation. She was always kind and supportive of me during the years I was her son-in-law. My children have always spoke highly of their “granny” and I know she will be missed but her memories cherished..May you all be comforted by them.
