Lutgardo Vincent Silva's Obituary
Lutgardo Vincent Silva passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009.
Beloved father of Jose L. Silva, Luke R. Silva, Mercedes Silva Perich and Teresa Silva. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Torres Silva; a son, Mike A. Silva; a daughter, Yolanda Silva; a grandson, Gilberto Romo, Jr.; his mother, Consuelo Subirat Silva; and his father, Joseph Reyes Silva.
Age 96 years, he was native of Cienfuegos, Cuba and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 38 years. He was a decorated United States Coast Guard Veteran who served during World War II.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Church and National Shrine, 4940 Meadowdale Street, Metairie, LA 70006.
A wake will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation AT THE CHURCH on Friday will begin at 10:30 AM.
Interment will follow in St. Louis #3 Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
