Dear Family of Luisa, Please accept my sympathy and prayers on the death of your mother. She was a wonderful lady to whom my family and I will be forever grateful.
Luisa lived with and cared for my mother, Alice Mallory, at Mama's home in New Orleans until my mom's death on July 28, 1999. Her care and concern for Mama and our family were remarkable and we loved Luisa for it all.
I am sure she earned a high place in heaven and I know she is happy there.

To Luisa's family,
I would like to express my sympathy on your Mother's death. She was an amazing woman and we were blessed to have her as my Mother, Alice Mallory's, caregiver for a year in the late 1990's. Her devotion and kindness to all of us made the last year of my Mother's life as peaceful as possible and allowed her to remain in her house until her death.
Luisa was always faithful with sending Christmas cards to our family until very recently. I hope that the last year of her life was not too difficult.
Our prayers are with all of you during this sad time. I loved viewing the photos of Luisa and your family over the years. Though I had met both daughters, I had never met David or seen photos of your father or all the grandchildren.

My grandmother was extremely generous, in material and in spirit. Her actions always reminded me to put other people first. For instance, she grew flowers on her balcony and always gave them to her neighbors or even anyone who admired them. No one could eat at her house without taking food for later. Even at her advanced age, she'd gift me with little unexpected things, like a piece of chocolate cake or a bracelet she saw in a store.
I remember Grandma as a lady with a fondness for her Spanish music and boiled crabs- she was thankful for things that go by unnoticed. Her love though, will never go unforgotten. Bye, Grandma
