Lucy Revere Fauntleroy's Obituary
Lucy Revere Fauntleroy passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She was born on Friday, July 29, 1938 to Nina Jenkins and Benjamin Franklin Revere. A life resident of St. Tammany Parish, she worked as an RN at St. Tammany Parish Hospital for over 30 years. She was also a dedicated member of New Zion Baptist Church and in 1996 was instrumental in starting the Lunch Ministry distributing meals to local shut-ins.
The beloved wife of Darrell L. Fauntleroy, she is survived by one son - D. Clayton Fauntleroy (Bettie Butler); her daughter - Robin Nina Jarrell (Ritter); three sisters - Morrell Williams, Vivian Barrouse and Jewel Moore; one brother - Benjamin Franklin Revere, Jr. and five grandchildren - Joshua C. Fauntleroy (Abbey), Seth G. Fauntleroy, Lindsey, Lydia and Leif Jarrell. Her parents precede her in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Baptist Church Covington, LA 70435.
Visiting hours at the church on Thursday, December 18, 2014 will begin at 11:00 AM.
Interment at the Fauntleroy Cemetery in Bush, LA will immediately follow services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Zion Baptist Church Lunch Ministry or Building Fund.
