Lucie Monlezun Jenkins' Obituary
Lucie Monlezun Jenkins passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 surrounded by family in Franklinton, LA. She was born on August 27, 1931 in Covington, LA.
Lucie is survived by a daughter, Constance Jenkins Tyler; a son, Huey L. Jenkins, Jr.; two sisters, Dolores Schech and Beverly Kiefer; three brothers, T.J. Monlezun, Jr., Robert Monlezun and Roger Monlezun; she is also survived by eight grandchildren, Ryan Tyler (Kate), Cheryl Tyler, Jessica Brewster (Drew), Ryan Adams, A.J. Adams (Kayla), Huey L. "Trey" Jenkins, III. (Katie), Lauren Jenkins, and Ross Jenkins; and ten great-grandchildren.
Lucie is preceded in death by her husband, Huey L. “Sawmill” Jenkins; her parents, Edna Glockner Monlezun and Theophile J. Monlezun; one son, Dalton R. Jenkins; one sister, Ruth Duet; and one brother, Victor Monlezun.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours on Friday will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Folsom, LA will immediately follow services.
