Lucie Ann Hebert Comenge's Obituary
Lucie Ann Hebert Comenge, 84, passed away at home on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was a longtime resident of Covington. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Emmanuel desChapelles Hebert, Sr. and Lucie Ann Hymel Hebert; her dedicated husband of 53 years, Bernard “Brother” Comenge; her sister, Joan Marie Marcotte; and her brother, Emmanuel desChapelles Hebert, Jr.
She was the adored big sister of Patricia H. Huval and Phyllis H. Montalbano. She was the mother of two sons, Bernard F. Comenge, Jr. and Brian H. Comenge (Kristy); and a daughter, Andrea Comenge Durey (Dan). She was the grandmother of Collin R. Comenge (Kelsey), Christian H. Comenge (Maryanna), Connor E. Comenge, Caden R. Comenge, Cate G. Comenge, Logan H. Durey, Miya L. Durey, and Alayna H. Durey. Aunt Lou “LuLu” is survived by many special nieces and nephews. She was also a cherished godmother and a loved cousin.
Lucie was a faithful volunteer for charitable causes for many years, most notably as a lifetime parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was a fun-loving card player with many special friends and a proud graduate of St. Scholastica Academy. Most of all she enjoyed planning and hosting family for holidays.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2023, at St. Joseph Abbey Church, 75376 River Road, Saint Benedict, LA 70457. A private Funeral Mass and Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey.
