Lovadee Ann Chatelain's Obituary
Lovadee C. Chatelain passed away peacefully Monday, February 13, 2012. She was born March 22, 1931 in Mansura, LA to the late Gaston and Alice Chatelain (cq), was a longtime resident of New Orleans and Metairie and has lived most recently in St. Tammany Parish.
The beloved wife of Jesse F. Chatelain, she is survived by one son, Kim F. Chatelain (Missy); one daughter, Michelle C. Normand (Nelson); three grandchildren: Kevin and Kyle Chatelain and Kaylee Normand; two step-grandchildren, Amber and Bryan Normand. Her brother, Frederick Chatelain (Rose) preceded her in death.
Known as Dee to friends and Aunt DeeDee to her many nieces and nephews, she loved gardening, spending time with her family, and cooking large meals for all to enjoy. Her bubbly personality, Cajun wit, strong Catholic faith, and willingness to do for others made her a beacon of love for all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA on Thursday, February 16th at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM at the church.
