I don't know where to start. I met him when he was on Broad street with Bruce Walzer. That was in the 70's. Your dad never judged me but guided me to get my life on track! I respected his desisions at time even though I did not agree " But he was always right"!
We became close friends an even went to the Final Four when LSU was in it. Phillidelphia ..
I knew his love for His children!!!
He will be missed , " thank you for all you did for me an many others, an tried to do"!!

Julie and Matt, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a privilege it was for me to be able work for Louie, and to be able to call him my friend as well. I looked forward to seeing his smile, and always marveled at his ability not to take himself too seriously. He was so smart, yet so humble. His wit and charm was a delight. He made me laugh, and I always walked away from our conversations wishing I had more time to listen to his recounts of adventures in law and in life. His love for you, Julie and Matt, was undeniable. When that day comes for me, I am looking forward to seeing him again in Heaven. I suspect he won't be hard to spot there; I'll just look for the crowd laughing, and I bet I'll see him in the center of that circle. Love and prayers for you and your family, Staci.

Knew Louis pretty well since I moved into Cobblestone Village Condos in Kenner.We served on the condo board several years and we're neighbors. We were good friends and also he provided me with cheap but good legal advice whenever I needed it. He was very pleasant with a very good & dry sense of humor. I know I speak for other old timers in the condo when I say he will be missed.
Glad he enjoyed a few more years after Cobblestone. Great guy with a alotta
stories and also a pack rat like myself.
My condolences to all his family and I envy yall to have known him much longer!

Julie and family - so sorry to hear of Louis' passing. We are all blessed to have enjoyed his company at many Thanksgivings and other family gatherings over the years. I know how much he loved living in Mandeville and being surrounded by family. Prayers and peace to everyone.

Louie, Ted Phister and myself were members of the New Orleans Radio Players under the late Ty Tracy. This was back in the fifties. We had some wonderful times together doing radio shows every week on WJBW at the studio at Camp and Canal Streets in the Cigali Bldg. We also did some playground shows one of which Louie, Ted and I sang and acted the Vaughn Monroe song "Ghost Riders in the Sky" We laughed more than the audience did.
I did see Louie more when I was an Attorney for the IRS and would see him around the Courthouse. But these last years since retirement and his moving to Mandeville brought those chance meetings to an end.
I will remember him and his family in my prayers. The loss of a loved one is never easy but the many fond memories will mean he will never be forgotten.

I had many great conversations with this intelligent, witty and courageous man. He was pretty brilliant and many times I felt way out of my league! But gladly we saw eye to eye on most issues and I enjoyed hearing his many stories of a fascinating life well-lived. I know he felt loved and cared for by his gracious daughter, Julie and his generous son-in-law, my also brilliant brother, Matt. I know you and his grandsons will miss him terribly. Please take comfort in knowing you did so much for him, allowing him to pass his final days comfortably and with dignity. Love to you all.
