Louis Robert Dendinger, current resident of Hammond, passed away in the early morning hours of November 30, 2009 in his home at the age of 62. Louis was a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. He was born in New Orleans on Ma Read Obituary
I wish to personally thank everyone who logged on to offer prayers and words of comfort to myself, and to the entire family. Your love and friendship are a source of strength in our grief. Many blessings to you all.
Few people lived life so well. Lou's humor and love of life were infectious, it was impossible to be with him and not have a good time. Lou taught many of us to lighten up, but he also taught us about common decency and love of family. It was an honor to have known Lou and I will miss him greatly. My comfort is that he did live life fully and that he found so much happiness when he met Kay.
Louis we will all miss you so much. You are one of the best friends this family has ever had. We love you. Kay our hearts and thoughts are with you. Love always, Frank, Birdie Ann, Leslie, Steve and Jeffrey Bogran.
I can expressed how much I am blessed to have met Mr. Lou. I would always love to see him at the gym and everytime I would talk with him he always had some kind of joke or wisecrack to tell me. I am deeply sorry for your loss Mrs. Kay. I only hope I can find a husband as wonderful as Mr. Lou!

Kay, although I knew Louis for a relatively short time, he always made me feel like we had been life-long friends. I will truly miss his wit, wisdom, and sense of humor, and I feel lucky to have had the privilege of counting him among my circle of friends these past few years. None of our group trips will be the same without him and he will always hold a special place in my memories. But now it is Heaven’s turn to enjoy his company. Please accept our deepest sympathy and our prayers that time will somehow begin to heal the pain and sense of loss.
Our Uncle Louie will always be remembered as a fun-loving, easy-going, kid at heart. He had many roles to play in our lives: uncle, friend, father figure, grandfather figure. When we think of him we think of the joy he took in life especially his love for his family, music and dancing I am so grateful that my Aunt Kay married him and that he became part of our lives. He always told me to make sure my family came first and to do things together. He will be missed everyday but I believe in my heart that he is having a ball and second lining in heaven.
