Louis Joseph Adams' Obituary
Louis Joseph “L.J.” Adams passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at his home in Mandeville, LA. He was born in New Orleans, LA on October 24, 1933 to the late Cleion Thompson Adams and William A. Adams.
LJ was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine “Gerry” and his siblings, . William C. Adams, Clifford H. Adams and Geraldine A. Johanson He was the father of Bonnie Adams Blanke (Bill). He was the loving grandfather of Leslie J. Blanke, of Billy L. Blanke (Amanda), Lauren M. Blanke (Chris), Emily A. Blanke (Joe), and Daniel J. Blanke (Kerri); proud great-grandfather of Gabbi, Elliot, Emmet and D.J. He was the “favorite brother-in-law” to Pat Durel and Uncle “Moe” to Jeff Juneau (Christie).
L.J. retired from South Central Bell and was a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Bell South Volunteers.
L.J. loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Adams may be made to Habitat for Humanity .
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
