Loretta Young Welch's Obituary
Loretta Young Welch passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009. She was born November 15, 1949 in Columbia, MS to the late Burley V., Jr. and Mattie Hedgepeth Young and has been a resident of Covington since 1968.
The beloved wife of the late Fred G. Welch, Loretta is survived by one daughter, Melanie A. Morse; her son, David E. Morse; one brother, Delton R. Young and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. and Jerry W. Young.
Loretta graduated from Columbia High School and worked until her retirement as switchboard supervisor at Greenbrier Hospital in Covington. She was also a dedicated member at Collins Boulevard Baptist Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Collins Boulevard Baptist Church, 1501 Collins Blvd., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will follow services.
