We are so sorry about Lonnie's passing. He will be missed greatly. He was a wonderful Christian with a servant's heart.
I first met Lonnie at church. I noticed him in our Sunday school class. Whenever he made a comment it was very wise. He had a great understanding of the Word. You could tell he understood it and lived it. He helped us out every month with the Angel Food program. And I am grateful for his faithful cheerfulness, serving at the end of the line with Mr. Vern. Norma and Noel my heart goes out to you in this time of loss. But I wanted to tell you that Lonnie was a good sport with all the bats that suddenly appeared in his office throughout the years. He took it all and laughed about them, that was very kind of him. He would get off that elevator and walk down that hall give me that look of his and ask if everything was okay. He could tell if I was having a bad day and that wit of his would make me laugh. He even let me tease him about my Tigers going to ride that Green Wave. Michael and I enjoyed your visit to DC and I will really miss him. We have our memories and he will live in our hearts. Time will bring peace, memories will bring joy, joy will bring laughter again. He was a wonderful, funny and kind man.
