Lola Laura Reid Chauvin's Obituary
Lola Laura Reid Chauvin, 86 of Loranger, Louisiana, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 7, 1929, in Oceola, Louisiana to Leonard Reid and Norine Lee Reid.
Survived by her devoted husband, Ernest L. Chauvin, III; children: Gwen (Irvin) Champagne, June (Ed) Lusk, Ernest (Sonny) Chauvin IV, Mike (Wendy) Chauvin, David (Charlotte) Chauvin, Paul (Tami) Chauvin, Tess (Rick) Dennie, Jeff (Mary Lou) Chauvin, Mark (Lana) Chauvin and Randy (Bonnie) Chauvin; and sister, Ruby (Buddy) Fletcher. Also survived by 26 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers: Ambrose Reid, Elmer Reid, Albert Reid, Howard Reid, Floyd Reid, Morgan Reid, Hulon Reid, Alvin Reid; and sisters: Clarissa Baham, Lela Mansfield, and Effie Burnthorn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 28, 2015, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach Mandeville, LA 70471. Visitation on Sunday evening, September 27, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 and on Monday morning, September 28, 2015, at Mary Queen of Peace from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Interment will follow in Noah Cemetery Loranger, LA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Lola Chauvin to be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org.
