Lionel T. Goubler, Jr.'s Obituary
Lionel T. Goubler, Jr, of Mandeville, LA, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Majoue Goubler, his parents, Lionel T. Goubler, Sr. and Elvera Meyers Goubler, and his siblings, John Goubler and Shirley Hiers. He is survived by his children, Theresa Goubler Zeleny (Billy), Lisa Goubler Lee (Trey), Michelle Goubler Palmer, Brandon Goubler (Alysia) and Lindsay Keenan (Garrett), 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his sister, Loyce Noto.
Lionel will be remembered as a man of extraordinary character, defined by his kindness, generosity, resilience, distinct voice, and relentless work ethic.
He found his greatest joy in the simple moments of life: cherishing time spent with his children, grand and great grandchildren, embracing the outdoors in all its forms, and tackling any project that needed fixing.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary Street, Madisonville, LA, 70447, on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at the church at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by the mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, in St. Benedict, LA.
