Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on January 28, 1941, Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, Ezra Earl Shurden and May June Hardy Shurden.
She is survived by her daughter, Luanna Feduccia Cambas (Buddy) and her son, Hal Gregory Fox Jr. ( Anne-liese). Linda was the proud grandmother to Brice Cambas, (Sarah Hampton), Britt Cambas, Hal Fox, Conner Fox, and Leilia Fox. She was survived by her brothers, Larry Shurden (Jane), Steve Shurden (Diane), and Michael Shurden (Susan). Linda will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Drew, MS held a special place in her heart as her cherished childhood home. After graduating from Drew High School, she pursued higher education at Ole Miss and the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a master’s degree in English Literature. Linda then moved to Louisiana where she became a successful Court Reporter in Metairie.
Known for her independent-minded, resilient, and quick-witted nature, Linda enjoyed activities and conversations, maintaining a wide circle of friends and social groups. She pursued various hobbies such as reading, painting, needlework and achieved the title of Life Master in bridge---a testament to her passion for the game.
Beyond her accomplishment, Linda’s truest joy was found in children. Affectionately known as “HaHa” to her grandchildren and their friends, she embraced the role of the “fun” grandma.
Linda Fox was a unique, irreplaceable individual, widely respected and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will endure, and she will be deeply missed.
The Fox family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by Windsor and Interim Hospice, but especially to Linda’s care-giver and friend, Donnie Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, your love and care for Linda through the years has been the most treasured honor and gift that you could have ever bestowed.
