Lillian Lemucchi Gaines, a resident of Madisonville, LA, died August 10, 2022.
Mrs. Gaines was born and raised in Washington, DC by immigrant parents, now deceased, Achille and Maria Lemucchi; and one sister, now deceased, Pearl McDonough.
She met and married J. P. Gaines, now deceased, CEO of Rice Millers Association based in Washington, DC. They were married for 52 years.
She was an active artist in china painting and oils. She taught china painting for many years. She was also a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Church in Folsom, LA and Saga, a senior group at St. Anselm Church in Madisonville, LA. She was also an active member at Most Holy Trinity Church, Covington, LA.
Mrs. Gaines is survived by her three sons, John Edward Gaines, Joey William Gaines and W. Jay Gaines; her 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Covington, Louisiana.
