Lia Gras Besalu, born in Santiago de Cuba and a proud citizen of the United States for 60 years, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the age of 97.
Preceded in death by her husband, Luis O. Besalu. Loving mother of Elena B. Valenti (Anthony, Sr.), Frances B. Bowling and Carmen B. Allen (William). Sister of the late Gladys Kasper, Nora Poyoto, Oscar Gras and Humberto Gras. Grandmother of Elizabeth Valenti, Anthony Vincent Valenti, Jr. (Stacy), Holly Valenti, Lauren Bowling Stotland (Elad), Austin Allen and Lani Allen Wilborn (Lorenzo). Great-grandmother of Maycie Wilborn, Anthony Valenti III, Sarah Joy Graham, Ava Valenti and Haley Pettingill.
