Lesley T. “Les” Dickens on Wednesday October 25, 2006.
Beloved son of Ruth Schech Dickens and the late Charles V. Dickens. Brother of Chuck Dickens and Esther Allen. Also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dickens was a 1977 graduate of Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving 4 years. He attended the Sullivan School in Bogalusa, LA where he studied Hydraulics. Mr. Dickens was a member of The Bush Volunteer Fire Department. He was a first responder and later obtained the rank of Deputy Chief serving over 20 years. Mr. Dickens was employed at Sun Source, in Marrero, LA as a Hydraulic Engineer for many years. Mr. Dickens was a member of the Waldheim United Methodist Church.
Age 47 years. A native of Shreveport, LA and a resident of Waldheim, LA for the past 25 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday October 30, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Sunday October 29, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday from 8:30 AM until service time.
Interment in Waldheim United Methodist Cemetery.
