Leonie Baham Poplous' Obituary
Leonie Baham Poplous passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Poplous. Former widow of the late Herman Heisser. Loving mother of Delmon Heisser and Vivian Milbon and the late Freddie Heisser and Lolita Hayes. Preceded in death by her sisters Thelma Boyd and Beatrice Harris. Grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Age 101 years; a native of Madisonville, LA and a long time resident of the New Orleans. Mrs. Poplous was a member of St. Raphael, Immaculate Heart of Mary and Annunciation Church of the New Orleans area. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from St. Anselm Catholic Church, 307 St. Mary St., Madisonville, LA on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will be in the Madisonville Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Linda Keefer and staff and Hospice Nurse Demetria Ally and her caring staff for all the tender loving care that they gave during her illness.
