Leonard Morgan Willette's Obituary
Leonard Morgan Willette, 86, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 surrounded by his family at home in Covington, LA. He was born on August 20, 1931 in Chicago, Il to the late Arthur C. Willette and Juliet Fitzmorris Willette.
Leonard was married to his beloved wife, Gaye Stidham Willette, for 35 years. He was the loving father of Ronald L. Willette, Debbi W. Cooper (Gary), and the late D. Keith Willette; step-father of Lee Hebert (Beth) and David Hebert. Leonard was the proud grandfather of Stephanie C. Spiller, Staci M. Cooper, Grason S. Cooper, Ronald L. Willette Jr., Ami W. Korzak, Grant B. Hebert, Mason E. Hebert, the late Christopher L. Willette, and Stephen D. Cooper. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Dorothy W. Rickles and Sharon W. Keating. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Leonard will also missed by the mother of his children, Lois M. King.
Leonard was one of the first State Farm agents in Covington, LA. He was world traveler, enjoyed building things and working with his hands. Leonard loved to cook outdoors and spend time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Garden of the Pines Mausoleum, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or the Lewy Body Dementia Association, www.lbda.org.
