She was a very sweet and kind woman and she will be missed by many 😔😪😥Sorry for your loss 🙏🙏RIP
Aunt Leona has been my hero and inspiration to never stop dreaming! I know that she is at peace - no more pain - no more sorrow - no more disappointments! She has ran the race of faith and finished strong! I will miss your constant prayer support, kindness and quiet unassuming ways. I will never forget the life lessons of faith you imparted to me. It’s not goodbye, rather see you later🥰
On behalf of the Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center, I would like to share a few words about what Leona meant to this ministry. She was a strong prayer warrior who faithfully interceded on behalf of women facing unplanned pregnancies. Through her fervent prayers and dedication to protecting life, she became instrumental in establishing the Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center in her community. This ministry has served as a safe haven for moms and dads in crisis for over thirty years. The ministry that Leona helped establish has been used by the Lord to save the lives of hundreds of babies, and to win thousands of souls for Jesus. She has left quite a legacy. While we are so grieved that she is no longer with us in this life, I am overjoyed at the thought of her sitting with Jesus and getting to see the eternal scope of the impact that her life has had.
Carol, Noel and I offer our sincere sorrow for the passing of your mother. Although I didn't know her well personally, I know that everywhere she went she had a sweet and calming demeanor about her. This is probably why she was so good at calming and soothing all those little newborns through the years. They could sense her love and peace.
Love and grace to all the family,
Gayle & Noel Maestri
My family and I have so very many memories we have shared with Red and Leona and their family. Space and time is too limited to share them here. To the dear children, you were there and such a joy it was to know you and your mom and dad and share so many happy memories of you all. You are always on my mind and in my heart for you are all dearly loved by my whole family. My heart breaks for our loss even though I know she is rejoicing at the feet of Jesus!! A golden heart has stopped beating and an empty place remains. May God bear your sorrow and pain as you cast them upon Him. Love to all. Hazel Rice Jones
