Lena Agnes Scaramuzzo's Obituary
On Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, Lena Colao Scaramuzzo, devoted wife of the late Mariano Scaramuzzo, sister of Rose Colao, Betty Pasquale and Sara Stella. Survived by son Eugene Scaramuzzo, daughter-in-law Brigitte Gomane, grandchildren Giovanni and Madeleine Scaramuzzo, nieces Mary Colao and Delores Norman and nephew Joseph Stella. She is also survived by beloved brother-in-law William Scaramuzzo and sisters-in-law Mary Borrelli, Rena Venditti, Bea Smith and Elsie Asquino.
Creative and perpetually involved, Lena was an original and long-time member of the Forest Hills Women’s Club, very active member of St. Maurice Church and School, a Braille transcriber, a volunteer at Forbes Regional Hospital, and an enthusiastic artist. In her final years at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mandeville, LA., she was one of a small feisty group of beloved residents known as the “Golden Girls.” She will always be in our hearts.
Calling hours will be on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Ronald V. Lucas Funeral Home, 534 Jones Avenue, North Braddock, PA 15104, (412-271-1361). Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Maurice Church, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Pittsburg, PA.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ronald V. Lucas Funeral Home of North Braddock, PA. Louisiana arrangements have been entrusted to E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington, LA.
