Precious Lem and Mary Jane...we loved you so, Connie and Chris
Loved you dad so much. Met him in 1980 when I lived on Second Street and he stopped by to see if I wanted to join Garden District Patrol. Of course I did and we started chatting and I told him I was dating a friend of his, Ronny Durham. Small world. Shortly thereafter I met your mother and the rest is history. They were the most loving couple, not only to each other but to those who knew them. We shall miss them.
Lem McCoy helped us find our first apartment when we returned to New Orleans, right across the street from the McCoy’s home. We fell in love with their family, and though we morn his loss, we know he and Mary Jane are together again. Praise be the Lord for these wonderful souls. Love, Barbara and Edwin
To all the family, my deepest sympathy and prayers. I know you can be comfortied in knowing he and his beloved Mary Jane are back together again. We had such good times in Waveland. Lem was like a member of the family and we all loved him as such. Keep strong as you know he would want you to be. All my love. Elinor Frantz
Dear Dillard
Your Dad you and your Family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless all of you.

I had the great privilege of being Len and Mary Jane’s pastor for a number of years.
Both brought such joy and wisdom to CPC.
I grieve his passing but rejoice in their reunion and celebrate his life.
Lem was a dear man who has gone to join his beloved wife, Mary Jane. My condolences to all the family - I have fond memories of him and know he will be missed and lovingly remembered.

Lem was one of the most brilliant, yet kindest, gentleman I have ever met. Though our acquaintance time was short, the memories of our friendship will last my lifetime. We will miss having you on earth with us, but know how happy you are to be joining your Love in Heaven. Looking forward to seeing you there.
