Lazard Levy's Obituary
Lazard Levy, Attorney and WWII Veteran, died on February 27, 2006, age 82. He is predeceased by his parents Mae “Kitty” Rodriguez and Pius Levy, and his brother Leo Levy, and sister Doris Watsky. He is the father of Herman Allen Levy, Charles Aaron Levy, husband of Alicia D. Levy, Benjamin Morris Levy, husband of Joanie S. Levy, Helene Levy, wife of Edward J. Braun, Nathan Levy, husband of Linda Levy, Joanel Levy, Joel Asa Levy, husband of Diane O’Hara Levy, Greta Levy, wife of Walter Dobler, Dinah Levy, wife of Roger Thompson, and Jack Paul Levy, husband of Melissa U. Levy. First marriage to Helen DeWeese Levy. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Graduate of S.J. Peters High School, Loyola Business and Loyola Law School. Mr. Levy served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a gunnery instructor for the 538th Bombardment Squadron as Second Lieutenant. Mr. Levy also served as City Attorney and Magistrate for the City of Westwego, and as Assistant Attorney for Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter and Jefferson Parish Drainage Board at the time of his death. Services will be private.
