Lawrence Taylor's Obituary
Lawrence Taylor passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 surrounded by family at his home in Bush, LA. He was born on March 9, 1936 in Bush, LA to the late James D. Taylor and Mary Belle Sharp Taylor.
Lawrence was the beloved husband of the late Juanita Mooney Taylor for 19 years. He was the loving father of Patty Schmolke (Jerry), Kim Boudreaux (the late Paul), and the late June McLain (Randy). Lawrence was the proud grandfather of Jared Schmolke (Emily), Kacie Molley (Kris), Clayton Schmolke (Laurel), Jacob Boudreaux (Ashley), and Joshua Boudreaux (Brittany); great-grandfather of Taylor, Riley, and Lorelei Schmolke, Raven and Weylan Molly, Adaline Quave, Jase, Rowan, and Jensen Boudreaux, Sadie and Stella Boudreaux. He was the brother of the late Tasso Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Malcolm Taylor, Hester Dykes, Austin Taylor, Stanley Taylor, Sr., Freddie Taylor, and Ethel Taylor. Lawrence is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Amanda Caroline Sharp Taylor.
Lawrence was a true Louisiana sportsman. He loved spending his time hunting and fishing, tending to his garden, and telling tall tales to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
