I remember Larry as a man who enjoyed life, with a smile, positive attitude, great sense of humor, taste for excellent food, a fine drink and love of family. Larry told me how happy he was when he and his daughter would drive to the casino to enjoy the seafood buffet and do some gambling. Even in illness Larry was thinking of others. When New Orleans was spared a hurricane and heading towards Hilton Head, Larry called to invite Daddy Ray (an affectionate nickname he gave me) and Pat to stay with his family until it was safe to return home. When Larry called to say goodbye we reminisced about the good times we had in New Orleans. He spoke of having a good life and the love of family. Larry will always be remembered as a true and special friend.
