I have so many wonderful memories of my sweet Aunt Laverne. My first memory is being her flower girl in Durango Colorado 62 years ago! So many New Orleans memories, her delicious red beans and rice, her love for animals...even baby raccoons and a stray black cat that she let me name Edgar ( for Edgar Allan Poe )! I always thought I was her favorite niece but now I realize she made everyone feel like a favorite. Dear Margaret, Theresa, and Family,
We are so sad for you upon the loss of your mother. She has to be a wonderful lady because she has such wonderful children, Margaret and Theresa whom I know professionally, and Thomas who treated and cared for my father while he was alive.
