Lavern Taylor Talley passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Covington, LA. She was born on June 12, 1930 in Covington, LA to the late Jessie Taylor and Rebecca Tisdale Taylor.
Lavern is survived by her son, Michael L. Talley; grandchildren, Tina Taylor, James Talley, Ashley Talley, Jordan Talley; great grandchildren, Devyn Montana, Kyle Schech, Isabella Talley, Makayla Talley, and Lucas Talley; and siblings, Ouida Talley, Carolyn Cox, and Jessie Taylor.
Lavern is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Amos Lee “Bill” Talley; her son, Paul E. Talley; granddaughter, Shana Talley; and her siblings, Gladys Booth, Titus Taylor, Coleman Taylor and Ola Fussell.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at Fitzgerald Methodist Church, 80007 Fitzgerald Church Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Covington, LA.
