Laurie "Spud" Cornelius Eason Jr.'s Obituary
Laurie “Spud” Cornelius Eason,Jr., age 87, passed peacefully on October 27, 2024. Spud was preceded in death by his loving wife Sheila Eason, parents Laurie Sr. and Lydia, sisters Cleo Oxford (Jim) and Lois Berry (Robert). He is survived by sons Jeffrey (Melissa), Mark (Tiffiney) and Christian (Melinda), stepchildren Vincent (Yvette) and Mikey Granier. Loving Pawpaw to his seven beautiful grandchildren Jackson, Jake, Marly, Scarlet, Mya Eason and Jensen and Emma Granier. Also survived by the mother of his children, Lynn Battle.Spud was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Spud was born and raised in the Bayou St. John area attending St. Aloysius and Warren Easton Schools. He worked at American Standard Brands Coffee and Domino Sugar. Spud loved spending time with his grandchildren, drinking his coffee and smoking his cigars. His grandchildren filled his life with happiness and he loved attending all of their activities.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11:30 AM to 12:00 Noon followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Avenue, Covington, LA on Friday, November 22, 2024.
